Arsenal are expected to agree to a fee of around £14 million with Deportivo la Coruna for the transfer of forward Lucas Perez (via The Evening Standard).
He’s proven to be perhaps the strangest Arsenal signing in many years but it looks like Lucas Perez’s time at the club is coming to an end.
The Spanish forward joined the Gunners less than twelve months ago from Deportivo la Coruna and it looks like he’ll soon be returning to the La Liga side.
Various reports in England claim that the Gunners are close to agreeing to a £14 million fee for the Spaniard’s return.
Perez made just 11 Premier League appearances for the club last season but managed to get seven goals in all competitions.
Arsene Wenger said earlier in the window that the player could leave because of the club’s “congestion” of strikers right now.

It’s a shame that things didn’t work out for Lucas Perez at Arsenal but him moving on is for the best. He was a good player and probably didn’t get the amount of game time he should have. That would only have gotten worse this season following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette.
