Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo looks set to join up with Dennis Bergkamp at Ajax, with reports suggesting that a deal to take the Frenchman to Amsterdam could be announced this week, De Telegraaf reports.
Sangogo was notably absent from the squad which travelled to Singapore (via Arsenal.com), despite being involved in pre-season training over the past seven days.
It usually indicates that a move away may be imminent and that is what De Telegraaf suggests, as Arsene Wenger continues to offload the players who spent the second half of last season on loan away from the club.
Lukas Podolski has already joined Galatasaray (via the BBC) while Joel Campbell has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Besiktas (via talkSPORT).
Bergkamp still holds the position of assistant manager at the Amsterdam Arena, and a chance to work with a legend should entice Sanogo.

Wenger has always been tempted by unique projects, but trying to develop Sanogo into a top level forward was always a bridge too far, especially given the options we have up front.
Hopefully the boss is clearing the decks to make way for an incoming forward.
