The international break is wreaking havoc on Luis Van Gaal’s Manchester United squad, with Daley Blind the latest casualty to add to their growing crocked list.
The Holland international may have torn knee ligaments in Holland’s 6-0 thumping of Latvia, with the severity of the injury yet to be confirmed.
Dutch boss Guus Hiddink explained that it ‘doesn’t look good’ for the United star who was set to travel to Emirates this weekend.
Blind becomes the latest in a string of casualties with David de Gea dislocating his finger on duty with Spain and Michael Carrick picking up a groin injury. Blind has become a mainstay in Van Gaal’s new-look lineup, impressing since his arrival over the summer. De Gea’s knock is perhaps the most encouraging news with the Spaniard impressing this season.
For once it’s not Arsenal picking up all the injuries on international duty (touch wood), and provides a nice boost for us ahead of this weekend.
