Arsenal have been handed a boost in our reported attempts to land Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, after the forward hinted that he may seek a move away this summer, talkSPORT reports.
Lacazette, who has been the most prolific forward across Europe’s top five leagues after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi (via Squawka), has been linked with a move to the Emirates over the past few weeks (via The Telegraph)
With Lyon challenging Paris Saint Germain at the top of Ligue 1, they are set to qualify for next season’s Champions League. However, for Lacazette, that doesn’t seem to be enough.

“I am good here, but after that I need to think about my progression, the future,” the 23-year-old was quoted as saying.
“We will see at the end of the season.”

Our options up front make a move for another central striker rather difficult to foresee, especially with the strikers we currently have out on loan.
Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell, Yaya Sanogo, and Chuba Akpom are all set to return this summer, and we may have to exercise a clear-out should another marquee signing arrive in that department.
The signing of Danny Welbeck seems to have given Wenger the options he wants in our forward line, and we can only hope the England man becomes the prolific striker he’s threatened to develop into.
