Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing Sebastian Giovinco after his agent admitted the forward will leave Juventus unless he’s offered an extension.
The 27 year old striker, who is now entering the final year of his contract with the Serie A side, has been touted to leave the Turin club in the summer, as he has been restricted to just six league starts for Juve this season.
Giovinco’s agent Claudio Pasqualin says his client will leave Juventus in the summer transfer window, if the Italian giants fail to tie him down to a new contract.
According to the Express, he said:
Sebastian still has one more year on his contract.
We’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.
If the club come to us with an extension, then that’s fine. But if not, we’ll have a look round for other clubs.
He is known for his free kick taking skills, notably netting a superb set piece strike against AC Milan last season. His dribbling skills and inch perfect passes are sure to trouble any side that comes up against him, while his best position is as a second forward behind a main striker he can also play out wide.

Arsenal are widely expected to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer, with Olivier Giroud having largely struggled to replicate his superb early-season form and the hapless Nicklas Bendtner due to depart the Emirates Stadium when his contract finally expires. The Italian would provide some more natural backup to Giroud and will provide a very different option to the Frenchman, as he is small in frame and is technically very strong.
The Gunners need for a versatile attacker might facilitate a move for Giovinco, if Wenger fails to attract bigger names to the club. If Giovinco is available at a sensible price he would be a good squad addition and at 27 years old he should be entering his prime. He is also capable of operating wide, which means that he will provide a great alternative to Walcott and Podolski for the North London club.
