Arsenal have a zero percent chance of landing Karim Benzema or Alexandre Lacazette this summer as we look to strengthen our forward positions, according to respected French journalist Julien Laurens.

The BT Sport reporter was asked on Twitter whether we had any hope of landing one of the French forwards, but Laurens has prepared us to be disappointed when the window closes in September.
It had been reported that Benzema was Arsene Wenger’s primary target this summer and that the boss was prepared to wait until the final moments of the window to land the Frenchman (via Goal), but it seems as though that will not be the case.
For the fourth consecutive summer window, it looks like we’ll still be searching for Robin van Persie’s replacement with Olivier Giroud tasked with leading the line.

The Frenchman, as admirable as his efforts have been, isn’t the type of striker to lead us to the title and has yet to reach the 20-goal mark in a Premier League campaign.
Going into the season with the squad we currently have may worry fans and subject us to another battle to finish in a Champions League place.
