Arsenal’s celebrity fan Piers Morgan celebrated his 50th birthday on Saturday night with a number of high-profile people in attendance, including our legend Ian Wright.
According to Piers, the Mail Online editor, Wright stormed the stage and took a swipe at former Tottenham Hotspur owner Alan Sugar – by thanking him for all he’s done, for Arsenal.

Sugar owned Spurs for almost a decade between 1991-2001, and during his tenure at our local rivals we won two league titles and two FA Cups.
Lord Sugar remains a vocal Spurs supporter and constantly engages in debates with Piers Morgan on Twitter, often resulting in a bet between the two millionaires.

However, Wright’s unprovoked jab at Sugar shows that he’ll forever be a Gooner and is undoubtedly one of the most popular players in our history.
You only have to see what transpired at Wembley in our last two FA Cup finals, with fans singing Wright’s name while he’s busy doing his punditry duties despite being in the presence of our current stars parading a trophy before them.
We all agree with Wrighty, thank you to all of Spurs’ owners of the past two decades.
