Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain to sign Edinson Cavani and Adrien Rabiot as we look to strengthen our squad for a sustained title challenge, according to talkSPORT reporter Ian Abrahams.
Ok so here is my @Arsenal gossip. The big striker the Gunners are in for is Edinson Cavani, Benzema is not leaving Real Madrid

As I’m lead to believe no deal has been done yet for Cavani, the transfer isn’t imminent but there are talks over a possible move to Emirates — Ian Abrahams (Moose) (@BroadcastMoose) August 20, 2015
I was also told the Gunners are looking to sign a second player from @PSG_English & that is @Adriien_Rabiiot again no deal has yet been done

Having stated on Wednesday that a move for Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema wasn’t taking place, Abrahams claims that Arsene Wenger has focused his attention on tying up a deal for Cavani.
Signing a world-class striker is definitely something we need, though whether the Uruguayan comes under that particular bracket is rather doubtful.
After setting the world alight during his final few years at Napoli, Cavani has failed to replicate those moments following his big-money move to PSG.

In fairness to the 28-year-old, he has been forced to play out wide due to the importance of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and it seems as though his confidence has gone.

As for Rabiot, the gigantic midfielder was heavily linked with us last summer (via the Express), but subsequently decided to stay in Paris and extend his contract.
However, first team opportunities haven’t been forthcoming this season and he has once again been touted as a potential signing for us.
As exciting as this news may seem, it would highly surprising if Wenger was even interested in the PSG duo, never mind conduct talks to bring them to our club.
