We are reportedly in a battle with Serie A giants Inter Milan for a Croatian teen prodigy Nikola Vlasic, but could miss out on the youngster, according to the Express.
The 18-year-old is currently plying his trade with Hajduk Split, where he has already racked up 58 appearances – despite his tender age. He’s scored six goals for the senior side as well, and is attracting the attention of some top clubs.
The report suggests he’s closer to a move to Italy, with his agent Tonci Martic also representing Inter winger Ivan Perisic. Martic has been working closely with the Serie A side to get a deal done, but could still be trumped by Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman is a known admirer of Vlasic, and as the Express reports, sent scouts to watch the youngster last year.

There’s still time for him to move in and get ahead of Inter in the race for the forward’s signature, and if he has any sense of his own and isn’t just led by his agent, then he’ll know the Emirates would be a far better destination than the San Siro for his development.
