We’ve got yet another huge boost ahead of our clash with Manchester United this weekend, with the news that Anthony Martial may not make the game, as reported by the Evening Standard.
The French striker suffered a hamstring injury during the warmup ahead of their 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland, and was pulled out of the game last minute. It’s unclear how serious the injury is, but it looks as though he could join United’s already lengthy injury list for the weekend.
As the report suggests, the Red Devils are already without Wayne Rooney, Bastian Scchweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian, Ashley Young, and potentially David de Gea and Chris Smalling too.
United looked surprisingly good against Midtjylland, and while they were obviously expected to dominate the minnows, they looked much better than they have done in recent weeks.
We’re obviously a massive step up though, and an injury ravaged United will hopefully really struggle against us this weekend. Without the likes of de Gea and Smalling they may well be exposed defensively, while their attacking options are practically non-existent.
Young Marcus Rashford looked good on his debut – grabbing a brace in the second half – but the Premier League is an entirely different animal.

Games against Manchester United are often close fought, but hopefully we can replicate the form we showed in the reverse fixture and put the game to bed within the first 20 minutes once again.
