Despite securing all three points against Leicester City this past Tuesday, we certainly weren’t at our best. We also saw injuries to Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey, with both players having to be withdrawn in the second half.

The Welshman initially sustained his hamstring injury in the Champions League against Galatasaray, and appeared to suffer a recurrence against Leicester. It seems now he is likely to miss the next Champions League game however, with reports suggesting he will not be back in time for our clash with Monaco on the February 25th.
Alexis Sanchez on the other hand, looks to be far less serious, and may return in time for next week’s FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough.

The Chilean picked up a knee injury after being on the wrong end of a forceful Matthew Upson challenge early on, and rather foolishly was left to play on until midway through the second half.
It doesn’t appear to be too serious though, and we should have our sensational summer signing back in no time.
The loss of Aaron Ramsey should be eased somewhat by the return of Jack Wilshere, with the England international making an early return from injury.
He is already back in training, and may even be in line for a start against the Championship side next week.
