Arsenal are interested in signing Hull youngster Josh Tymon who made his Premier League debut at the weekend. The 17-year-old is still yet to sign a professional deal with the Tigers which makes him one of the lowest earners in the Premier League today (via ESPN).
Arsenal fans were pleased with the news yesterday when Hector Bellerin agreed to sign a new long-term contract, and they could soon be welcoming news about another young full-back. Hull defender Josh Tymon has reportedly been on Arsenal’s radar for some time but it seems that the Gunners are stepping up their interest in the player.
Tymon made his Premier League debut for Hull at the weekend and is reportedly yet to agree to a professional contract at the club. The left-back is therefore still on a scholarship deal and Arsenal are one of a number of teams tempted to sign the youngster.
Tymon has reportedly been on Arsenal’s radar since the youngster played against the Gunners in an FA Cup clash last season. The Gunners will, however, face competition for the youngster’s signing from both Liverpool and Everton.
Josh Tymon’s stats are impressive and at such a young age, is clearly an interesting prospect. Talented young English players are usually both very difficult to come by and expensive, but considering the youngster’s contract situation, it seems that a potential deal wouldn’t cost the club that much.
