Winston Reid could still make a move to Arsenal, with the West Ham man tipped to join us this summer on a free transfer, according to the Metro.
We were heavily linked with a move for the 26-year-old in January, but the New Zealand international ended up staying in East London as we brought Gabriel Paulista to the Emirates instead.
Sam Allardyce wasn’t keen on letting one of his star players go mid-season, but was content to let him leave on a free at the end of the season.
The Hammers boss has already identified the ideal replacement, with Kara Mbodj of Belgian side Genk seemingly the top target for the Premier League side.

This seems like the kind of deal that would appeal to Arsene Wenger, but after bringing Gabriel to the club do we really need Reid?
He is unquestionably an excellent defender, and has been one of the standout performers for West Ham this season. With Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Calum Chambers, and now Gabriel Paulista however, we have a number of options available to us at centre-back. Add the versatility of Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal to the equation, and we are for once looking fully stocked in the defensive department.
Still young, Premier League experience, and versatile too; Wenger may find this deal too good to pass up. There are a number of other clubs vying for his signature however, so we will have to wait until the end of the season to get a definitive answer on this one.
