As much as we’d love to deny it, football is increasingly becoming more and more about money. Arsenal under Arsene Wenger are known for being good (or at least careful) with money, which regularly sees us up among the biggest clubs in the world where profits are concerned.
Below is the top 12 clubs in Europe ranked by proft (via talkSPORT):
12) Borussia Dortmund – €43m
Dortmund dropped two places from 2012, after going from unquestionably the second biggest club in the Bundesliga to a team struggling for European qualification.
11) Crystal Palace – €46m
The Eagles are the biggest surprise on this list, with Premier League promotion seeing them shoot up over 100 places in the rankings. With a massive 43% profit margin, the club really seems to be moving in the right direction.

10) Monaco – €50m
The Ligue 1 side spent a huge amount of money looking to elevate themselves up among the European powerhouses, but struggled to maintain their massive expenditure. Having now offloaded some of their big names, they’ve shot up the profit rankings.
9) Chelsea – €52m
With a relatively low expenditure by Chelsea’s standards, the Blues were another club who shot up roughly 100 places.
