Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from Atletico Madrid, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
The Belgium international’s future at the club has become uncertain despite a fine season where he has scored 10 goals already for Diego Simeone’s side.
However, Carrasco’s form has dwindled recently and he has also struggled with injuries leading Simeone to drop him from the squad for the clash against Las Palmas.
The report claims that Carrasco’s relationship with Simeone has broken down and that Atletico could now be tempted to cash in on the 23-year-old.
However, it could take a huge deal to prise the Belgian from Atleti. He only signed a new deal last year with the release clause reportedly a whopping a £85 million.
His performances this season have not gone unnoticed either, with PSG and Bayern also believed to be interested in his services.

There is also attention from the Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all believed to be keen too.
Arsenal are believed to see Carrasco as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez and they could surely only afford a move for him, if Sanchez had already been sold.
Sanchez’s future remains uncertain although Arsene Wenger continues to reiterate how relaxed he is over the situation and that he is confident a deal can be reached.
Arsenal this week agreed new deals for Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin and the club will be hoping Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will follow in their footsteps.
Certainly a deal for Carrasco looks a non-starter unless it is as a replacement for Sanchez, although his price tag may still prove to much for the Gunners.
