Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a move for Schalke’s Max Meyer when the German’s contract expires in the summer (via The Metro).
It’s something which is becoming more and more common in football today as players run down their contracts before leaving on free deals.
Alexis Sanchez is the obvious example as far as Arsenal are concerned but there are dozens more free deals available in the summer.
The likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Emre Can and Arjen Robben are all out of contract in the summer and it seems that Arsenal are keen on another player who will soon be without a club.
Max Meyer is a 22-year-old attacking midfield player for Schalke whose deal is set to expire in the summer.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are keen on the man who has four appearances for Germany and want to bring him to the Emirates after the season ends.
Max Meyer is an excellent player and one of the best young talents in the Bundesliga. He’d be a fine acquisition for Arsenal but he isn’t exactly the type of player which the club needs right now.
