Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for Denmark’s U21 star Pione Sisto, who is also a target for Barcelona after some eye-catching performances for his club Midtjylland, the Express reports.
Sisto is currently part of the Denmark squad that topped their group in the UEFA U21 European Championships ahead of Germany, and the report suggests that a host of European clubs are interested in him.
Described as a ‘speedy winger’ in the report, we have stolen a march on the interested parties but any potential move would be a slight surprise.
Judging by his age, the 20-year-old would realistically be included in the first team squad, which makes the move seem rather odd considering the number of players who operate in his preferred role.
The likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Serge Gnabry – who are of similar age – are also waiting in the wings for their chance, and it would be unlike Arsene Wenger to place a player ahead of them and stunt their development.

I believe this could potentially be a ploy from his club to invite offers following his summer exploits.
