Arsenal legend Ian Wright took to Twitter in order to share his thoughts on the latest episode of the Karim Benzema saga, after the Frenchman posted a cryptic message on his Instagram page.
Benzema uploaded a photo of himself on a private jet with the caption: ‘Leave the past be in the past’ (via the Express).
As expected, Twitter went into overdrive with many suspecting that Benzema was away from the Real Madrid squad, which could mean that he was on the move.
However, according to Sky Sports’ Bryan Swanson, the 27-year-old remains with the Real Madrid squad in Shanghai and the private picture may have been from his summer holidays.
Real Madrid say Karim Benzema still with squad in Shanghai before next game against AC Milan. Private jet pic? Believed to be from holiday.

The chances appear to be slim regarding Benzema’s potential arrival, but the thought of him lining up alongside the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will excite any fan.
We are a top class striker away from having a complete squad and hopefully the club’s hierarchy are doing all they can to strengthen that position.
