If you believe the reports, Theo Walcott is edging closer to an Arsenal exit this summer, and Ian Wright has told Goal that the England international has a big decision to make.

Liverpool wonderkid Raheem Sterling is also tipped for a move away, and Walcott has been touted as a potential replacement. Both players are stalling on their contracts, and could therefore see their clubs cash in on them when the transfer window opens.
Wright claims he is a huge fan of Walcott’s, and insists that it would be a real shame if he were to leave the Emirates come the end of the season.
The Arsenal legend believes the 26-year-old is best suited to the striker’s role, and will end up there eventually – wherever he plies his trade.
“It’s a shame for him, and the fact that people are talking about him maybe moving on if someone else comes in makes me quite sad,” he said.

“I really like him at Arsenal but he’s got massive decisions to make in the next few months.
“I always believed Theo should have been a striker at Arsenal with his pace. I thought playing him on the right would last so long and then he would get moved inside. I’m not saying he’s the same kind of player as Thierry Henry by any stretch, but I thought Arsene would move him inside.
“I think that’s been to his detriment, because he would have learned a lot more about the game and runs he’d have to make. I’ve seen him finish very well when he gets into one-on-one situations.
“I just hope something happens where he can stay at Arsenal.”
It would be a shame to see him leave the club this summer, as he is currently the longest serving player at the club. He has been at the Emirates for the better part of a decade, and there were high expectations when he arrived as a teenager.
He may not have matched those lofty expectations, but he has certainly played his part at Arsenal. The former Southampton starlet was a key player before his season ending injury last year, and it would be great to see him reclaim that mantle rather than moving on to a new challenge.
