We are arguably in need of a top quality forward next season, but few would have expected us to be linked with Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson.

Arsenal forward ruled out of Manchester United reunion
The 23-year-old has unquestionably been in fine form this season, and his 23 goals helped the Cherries up into the Premier League after a sensational campaign.
It’s hard to see him making the step up to a club of Arsenal’s stature however, no matter how promising he has looked this season.
That hasn’t stopped ESPN from linking us with the Englishman, who they also claim is being pursued by Tottenham, Southampton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Swansea, and Crystal Palace.
Wilson would be an excellent prospect for the future, but we ideally need a ready made star who can come straight into the team. He also might not be happy with a place on the bench, as game time will no doubt prove key to his development.

English players come with a premium attached, and Arsene Wenger is unlikely to want to pay over the odds for Wilson. Bournemouth will also be keen to hold onto him, as he is the kind of player who could prove the difference between Premier League survival and relegation back down to the Championship.
