Despite having Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott in their ranks already, Arsenal are looking to add even more pace to their line up in January. Mexican publication Medio Tempo (via the Metro) have linked us with Jurgen Damm, a real speedster who has drawn comparisons to Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.
The 23-year-old has reportedly been clocked as the second fastest dribbler in football, with only Bale beating the Mexican for speed.
The Metro claim we are among a number if clubs monitoring the speedster, with Paris Saint-Germain and Sporting Lisbon also keeping tabs. The fee being touted is £10.1m, which certainly seems like it would appeal to Arsene Wenger.
Clocking in at 35.23 km/h, Damm would certainly challenge Walcott and Bellerin for their crowns. So how would the pair feel about another pace merchant joining the club? They already have a bit of a rivalry going on, but it’s obviously all in good fun.
Damm is currently plying his trade in Liga MX with Tigres UANL, terrorising full-backs with his pace and trickery. The winger would surely jump at the chance to make the move to a top European club, so if we can beat PSG and Sporting to his signature then luring him to North London shouldn’t be too difficult.

Is he a player of quality though? Or is he nothing more than his speed? We certainly hadn’t heard too much about him before now, but if Arsene Wenger is looking at bringing him to the Emirates in January, we’d better read up on him.
