Seven transfer linked Arsenal stars and what should happen, with £21m Real Madrid target
The report suggests we are facing competition from Lazio and Manchester United, with the Serie A side already seeing a £4.3m bid rejected (via Tutto Mercato Web).
We are badly in need of reinforcements in defensive midfield, and Milinkovic-Savic certainly fits the bill. He was hugely impressive during his debut season in Belgium, and it’s understandable that he has attracted the attention of some top clubs.
The youngster is still incredibly raw, but he boasts all the qualities that could see him blossom into a truly first class talent. With Francis Coquelin making the role his own this past season at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger may be looking for a work in progress rather than an established name.
Milinkovic-Savic is tall, strong, and surprisingly solid technically. He appears to be the very definition of a Wenger signing, and could be an excellent acquisition if we can beat the competition to his signature.
