Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has backed Theo Walcott to succeed as a centre-forward for us and boldly claims that the 26-year-old can enter our ‘100 Club’ this season, he told Arsenal Player.
Walcott is our longest serving player following Abou Diaby’s release earlier on this summer, and is way ahead in terms of the leading goalscorer in our current squad.
Walcott is 24 goals away from the historic milestone – having netted 76 times during his decade with us – and should he remain fit, he is definitely capable of reaching that tally.
His last fully fit season came in the 2012/13 campaign when Walcott netted 21 times in all competitions, mainly from the right wing.

“He looks sharp, he looks strong and he can be dangerous
“He is a goalscorer – he has a load of goals for Arsenal and I think he can carry that on and maybe get into the 100 Club this year.”
Walcott was given the nod to start through the middle against Chelsea in the Community Shield and he can definitely score plenty of goals should he be regularly fielded there.
The England man will not be short of creative partners either, with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all buzzing around him.
With his future settled, Walcott could enter our hall of fame by the end of the season.
