Speaking after the win against Manchester United yesterday, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey declared the team’s intentions of competing in every tournament they are a part of (via Arsenal.com). The Gunners now lie second in the Premier League table, two points below leaders Manchester City, and Ramsey believes that we can mount “a good run” in the League in addition to competing on other fronts.
The Welshman also spoke about the team’s gameplan heading into the crucial match, and admitted that a high tempo style of play was required on a regular basis for Arsenal to remain in the hunt for silverware. He said, “Our main aim was to press high up and win the ball back in dangerous areas. We knew we could capitalise on that and we did it.
“The work ethic of the whole team was brilliant today and that’s what we need to keep doing throughout the whole season to be successful.
“Hopefully now at home we can make a bit of a run and keep this up. The work-rate we showed today is what we have got to show week win, week out.
“I think we are in a good position [to challenge for the title], we are on a good run in the league, hopefully we can keep that up. We need to get back to winning ways in the Champions League now as well. We are still in all of the competitions. We want to compete in all of them.
“It’s always nice to beat Manchester United and we will enjoy this win tonight.”

Arsenal transfer news
After the international break, Arsenal will resume their Premier League campaign by travelling to newly promoted side Watford. After that, our next game is at home against Bayern Munich – and will probably decide our fate in the Champions League this season. Hopefully, the team will be able to retain yesterday’s form and show it once more against the German giants.
