Erasing the deadweight from Arsenal’s books – George
In all honesty who would be concerned if Arsenal lost, Bendtner, Park, Chamakh, Squallaci, Arshavin and Denilson (who is already on loan)? I feel as if there would be few people who would miss them and the majority have forgotten the fact that they even exist.
The start of the season has been interesting, the new strip, the new players, the unfortunate lack of goals and the wonderful clean sheets (I’m a defender, that excites me). But it seems that some of the same problems are surrounding the club, we have an excess of players who haven’t showed the goods at Premier League level. I don’t like it.
Squallaci seems like he has two left feet and doesn’t even feature on the bench, there have been a few rumours about him, but too few for my liking. Bendtner well at least there is some substantive to his rumour, he has expressed his desire to leave, and I think Arsene Wenger is probably tired of dealing with that troubled child. The Italian penniless giants (AC Milan), according to the Daily Mirror, only want him on loan as they are in ‘financial crisis’. Whether this will happen, I’m skeptical, with rumour having it that Bojan Krkic has just joined the club. What to do with the rest… Maroune likes cashing in his check for about 50,000 pounds each week, (who wouldn’t) and seems to have no huge desire to feature on the pitch.
Denilson, at least he is having a good time in Brazil, Park well we haven’t heard anything of him… Arshavin now that’s a difficult one. With the possible departure of Theo (God-Forbidding) we will probably need him, with Arsene expressing his desire for the Ox to play in a central midfield role?

Arshavin is a genuine winger, who just needs to show some urgency and that pace that helped him score that wonderful and infamous 4th goal at Anfield (if you don’t know what I’m talking about…shame on you). So ultimately I feel as if we need to get rid of these guys apart from Arshavin, whether we send them to AC Milan or the Melbourne Victory, lets get rid of them. This could free up some cash for M’Vila and maybe a striker or a fullback.
To be honest I think that Bendtner would be a better than Chamakh, even if he is super cocky… but that is a quality that you actually need in a striker. Look at RVP, he wasn’t the most humble of players but my word could he put the ball in the goal. So in conclusion let us rid ourselves of these players from our books… they provide no benefit and suck the finances from the club that could be used to tie up quality players, and recruit more talent.
What do you guys think? Do you think we should give them all a decent chance? OR shall we sell them off to Portsmouth? Feel free to comment below or in allArsenal’s forum under the Dead wood thread.
