Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp will join the likes of Thierry Henry and Tony Adams with Arsenal revealing that the a statue of the Dutchman will be erected outside the Emirates Stadium.
The Dutchman played for Arsenal for eleven years collecting seven major honours and of course was an integral part of the Invincible season of the 2003/04 season.
It is odd to see why Bergkamp is not regarded higher in the history of football, but Arsene Wenger summed it up quite well saying:
Intelligence and class. Class is of course, most of the time linked to what you can do with the ball, but the intelligence makes you use the technique in an efficient way. What he (Bergkamp) does, there’s always a head and always a brain. And his technique allows him to do what he sees, and what he decides to do.
Fellow strike partner Thierry Henry has also spoken very highly of the Dutchman saying:
I have always said Dennis Bergkamp will remain the best partner I have ever had. He is a dream for a striker.
Bergkamp remains the top of my favourite players list, he had excellent technique but more notably he had ridiculous vision and a exceptional footballing brain. A number 10 that was one of a kind.
I am sure every Gooner would rightly think this accolade is deserved. He was a legend for the club and hopefully he will return to Arsenal to fulfill a coaching role in the near future.
Bergkamp is quoted as saying by Goal.com:
First of all, I am honoured that this is going to happen. It makes me very proud. Everyone knows that I love Arsenal and that I had a fantastic time at the club.

For me and my family it was an important period in our lives. Next to that the people were great, the team was amazing and we had a lot of success over the years.
I will do everything I can to be there when it will be unveiled. It will definitely be a special moment for me which I don’t want to miss.
