The highly rated Gunners youngster duo Chuks Aneke and Benik Afobe have secured temporary moves away from Arsenal until the end of the season with Aneke joining League One side Preston North End and Afobe linking up with the Championship high-flyers Reading.
Aneke, an 18-year-old midfielder, was on loan with Stevenage from November until January and will link up with Graham Westley again, who initially took him to Stevenage and now is at the helm at Deepdale.
The England youth international joins Gunners loanee Rhys Murphy at North End in a search for more first-team experience after securing a new contract with Arsenal last year.
He made his competitive first-team debut as a second-half substitute in September’s 3-1 Carling Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town, and has been making a name for himself in the Gunners reserve side netting six times in just ten appearances this season.
Meanwhile striker Benik Afobe has moved to Reading for the remainder of the season as they look to secure promotion into the Premier League.

Afobe enjoyed a successful loan stint with Huddersfield Town last season scoring eight times in 36 appearances during two spells as they managed a League One play-off final.
The regular England youth international suffered a groin injury that kept him sidelined for four months but has managed a few appearances for the reserves since. The striker appeared for the Gunners first team in pre season against Cologne and put in an exciting performance out wide against New York Red Bulls in the Emirates Cup.
The duo have big futures ahead of them, whether they are to be at Arsenal it remains to be seen, but with valuable loan experiences they can both improve physically and mentally before linking up with the Gunners first team for the preseason training and fixtures.
They both have had a taster of first team action last year and will be eager to push their way into the side for next season, especially to gain more top tier experience in the FA Cup and Carling Cup fixtures. Good luck to the pair and hopefully they have enjoyable loan spells that are beneficial to the their exciting careers.
