Arsène Wenger has revealed that Gunners legend Thierry Henry is back training with Arsenal to maintain his fitness during the MLS break.
Wenger believes having the clubs record goalscorer involved with the club again will add a unique experience to the training environment, while youngsters can learn from his class.
Wenger told Arsenal Player:
Thierry was back training with us today [Thursday].
He just wants to stay fit, enjoy himself and come back to Arsenal Football Club. He is at home here so it’s always good to have him back.
We kept in touch anyway, even in the States. He just turns up and practices. When it’s possible of course he can practice with the first team.
He always [gives us] a lift and shows just what a good player he is. He doesn’t like to lose – that doesn’t change.

Earlier in the week we reported that Henry could well be Wenger’s successor, and the constant contact between the two, it seems inevitable that Henry will return to Arsenal at some point in the near future once he retires from playing.
His return to training will be invaluable for some of the youngsters such as Miyaichi, Watt and Oxlade-Chamberlain who can learn so much from the former World Cup champion, and it will be a great morale boost ahead of the tricky test awaiting in Norwich.
