Just a few days after Sergio Busquets praised the Cameroon international, fellow team-mate and Spanish star Andres Iniesta has now put his two cents in labelling Song a ‘prodigy’ that would be welcome at the club.
Busquets is quoted as saying by ESPN Soccernet:
Song is a very good player – young, a hard worker, with lots of physical power, [Barca B youngster] Sergi Roberto is very well prepared, but I think he is better as an internal option.
Barca lose a lot without Keita, both on and off the pitch. He was a much-loved player who gave us a lot of physical power. Another player in my position would be welcome, but either way I will keep working hard to win a place in the starting team.
Meanwhile Iniesta is quoted as saying by Sky Sport News:
He’s a prodigy. I don’t know how many years he’s been playing but he isn’t a discovery from yesterday.
He’s a good player and I’ve seen in a couple of publications that he could be joining our team.
I don’t know if that would be the case but if he comes here we’ll welcome him the best we can.

If he comes here it’s because he has the ability to play here, no doubt.
Personally speaking, the whole scenario seems to be becoming reminiscent to the fiasco surrounding the transfer of Cesc Fabregas last summer, albeit to a lesser degree at this stage.
Barcelona have been accused of ‘tapping up’ potential transfer targets in the past and I wouldn’t be surprised if Barcelona have some concrete interest in Song following these public appraisals, which have surely turned Song’s head.
But in saying this, for now it is all speculation and merely my own opinion as no reliable sources have been released regarding a move for Song to the Nou Camp
