Morning Gooners. There may not have been any new reports about other potential signings this month, but we got some interesting news about a few summer moves including a certain Morgan Schneiderlin while Chuba Akpom’s current contract situation is a little alarming.
Here is the news round up.
Arsenal remain keen on Schneiderlin deal but January switch unlikely
Arsenal are still keen to sign Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin but the Gunners have to wait until the summer to complete the deal. The midfielder has been superb for the Saints and it’s believed we’ll make a big move for his signature at the end of the season. With the emergence of Francis Coquelin the boss is in no hurry to complete the deal, but with the midfielder’s contract expiring in the summer, we may need a long term solution and it is believed Schneiderlin is the man Wenger feels will take us forward.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has offered young striker Chuba Akpom new terms to tempt him into staying when his current deal expires this summer. At 19 years old, he’s had scarce opportunities for first-team action, but clearly Wenger has some faith in him to include him with the senior squad. He’s looked composed in the little time he has had and given his inclusion in the first team squad, it’s a bit odd on why such a young talent would be interested in the exit.
Joel Campbell officially announces Villarreal loan switch
Arsenal striker Joel Campbell has officially announced that he has joined Villarreal on loan until the end of the season. He has not had many first team opportunities so far this season, so the loan move will definitely help him with more playing time. He is a superb talent but hasn’t really managed to make an impact so far which is more or less expected owing to the inexperience on the big stage. Ideally he will score plenty of goals in La Liga and come back to challenge Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for their first team places next season, but it is very likely this may well be the last we see of Campbell.
Arsenal new boy’s first interview in red and white
Arsenal new boy Krystian Bielik gave his first interview since joining the Gunners earlier in the month. In the interview he has hinted at his inability to play in central defence, but suggested he can play as a deep-lying midfielder. He definitely will be a welcome addition, with defensive cover in the middle of the park severely lacking for the Gunners. He also seems interested in becoming a play maker and will undoubtedly fit well into the Arsenal way of attractive passing football.

Finally after waiting so long to see Paulista in Arsenal colours, our team put him in a red and white jersey. It might take a while to officially see him in Arsenal colours but hopefully this will sort your cravings until the deal is done.
Do you think we have concluded our transfer activity for the month already once Paulista is signed?
