Arsenal have offered Alexis Sanchez a huge new deal worth £300,000-per-week to stay at the club, according to Standard Sport.
The Gunners are determined to keep hold of their star man and are willing to break the bank, he is currently on £130,000-per-week.
The new contract would make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League, earning more than Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba who is on £290,000-a-week.
However, Arsenal are concerned his departure will have a serious impact on the club and are willing to spend big in an effort to keep hold of him.
The club are also reportedly prepared to offer Mesut Ozil a similar deal as they begin to put in place plans for the future.
Chelsea and Manchester City have both been linked with summer moves for Sanchez who is expected to fetch £50m if he does depart north London this summer.

The report claims that Sanchez is yet to respond to the new contract offer but it is thought he is happy in London despite his recent visible frustrations.
The club are privately optimistic they can keep hold of the Chile international, although should they fail to secure a top four finish, that confidence may fade somewhat.
Sanchez is believed to also want Arsene Wenger’s future at the club clarified as well as information about their transfer plans for this summer.
Wenger previously insisted the contract negotiations with Sanchez and Ozil had been put on hold until the end of the season although that seems not to be the case, possibly due to reports of increased interest from City and Chelsea.
Keeping Sanchez at the club, however, must surely be Arsenal’s priority if they are to challenge for honours next season and supporters will be hoping he can be persuaded his future remains in north London.
