We have been linked with a number of forwards this summer, and the latest player tipped to make an Emirates switch is Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, as reported by the Express.
The report claims the Parisians are looking to balance their books before the transfer window slams shut, and with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lucas Moura, and now Angel Di Maria at their disposal, Lavezzi no longer has a place in the team.
The French club have offered Lavezzi to a host of Premier League clubs (via the Express), with Arsenal among them.
The Argentine was phenomenal with Napoli before his £44m (via the Express) switch to Ligue 1, but hasn’t impressed quite as much for PSG. He is still a quality player, but at 30-years-old he is arguably past his best – especially given that as a winger he relies somewhat on his pace.
It’s understandable that PSG are looking to offload him, as the Express’ report suggest he will earn more than £50m if he sees out his four year contract. He would presumably have to take a massive wage hit were he to move to any of the teams being credited with an interest, and a switch to Arsenal seems unlikely.

If we are looking to sign Lavezzi, then we will have to fight off competition from Tottenham and West Ham (via the Express). He is unlikely to improve our side much though, so we should really be looking elsewhere.
