Arsenal have been put on alert as Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech hinted that his long-term future lay away from Stamford Bridge after spending most of the campaign on the bench, The Evening Standard reports.
Cech has seen his previously secure position between the sticks taken over by Thibaut Courtois and we have been heavily linked to the 32-year-old.
Given his age, Cech is still relatively young for a goalkeeper and could still produce at the top level as he’s shown sporadically for the Blues this campaign.
Arsenal transfer news
According to the report, Chelsea are demanding a fee of £10million for the shot-stopper this summer.
“So let’s see what’s going to happen at the end of the season and what’s going to be the plan at the end of the season,” Cech was quoted as saying.

“I have no plans yet and as soon as the season is over, I’ll look to the future and just see what I want to decide. I feel that I’m fit and ready to play and I don’t want to lose time on the bench.”
David Ospina has filled in admirably over the past few months but there doubts remain regarding his suitability as a long-term No.1.
These doubts mainly surround his lack of height and for Hull City’s goal on Monday night, he was left exposed. Despite the lack of power on the header from Stephen Quinn, a full-stretched Ospina couldn’t lay a glove on it.
Every title-winning side has a top goalkeeper between the sticks who produces match-winning moments throughout the season… Cech would give us exactly that.
