French expert Gilles Grimandi was sent to watch Ligue 1 side Lyon during their 2-0 win over Metz on Sunday, with a number of players on our radar, according to the Daily Mail.
Star striker Alexandre Lacazette is one of the hottest properties on the market at the moment, and has been scoring for fun in the French top division. With 21 goals in 22 appearances, he is unquestionably one of the most in form strikers in the world.
The Frenchman has benefited greatly from the form of his compatriot Nabil Fekir, who has been the creative hub for Lyon this season.
Arguably the standout performer on the day was Maxime Gonalons however, someone we have been regularly linked with over the past two years. He looks to be exactly the kind of defensively minded player we have been lacking in recent times, and the 25-year-old could go a long way to firming up our midfield.

Whether there is a chance of any of these players making the switch to the Emirates this January is unclear, but Arsene Wenger is clearly keen to keep tabs on Lyon’s star studded team.
