Arsenal are planning another raid of Real Madrid with a £35m move for French striker Karim Benzema as the Spanish giants undergo changes following a disappointing season, Goal reporter Greg Stobart suggests.
Benzema has been an unsung hero at Real Madrid and despite playing as a central striker, his role is mainly to assist flying wingers Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Florentino Perez announced the departure of Carlo Ancelotti on Monday (via BBC Sport) and as ever with regime changes at managerial level, each player’s role is under threat.
