As the season dwindles to a close, it seems like a suitable time to reflect on the campaign as a whole by analysing how the players in our squad performed over the past 10 months.
Despite our most important fixture looming on the horizon as we head to Wembley once again, all our players have put their cases forward in terms of their squad status.

Arsenal transfer rumours
Here is our ranking of our first team squad – only taking into account those who have made more than five Premier League appearances – based on their performances this season.
23 – Mikel Arteta

The skipper has been hampered by injuries this campaign and having played at the top-level for almost 15 years, it seems as though it’s starting to take its toll. He has only managed 6 appearances in the league this season.
Out of contract at the end of this campaign, it may be time to show the Spaniard the exit door.
22 – Lukas Podolski
Loaned out to Inter Milan in January, Podolski clearly doesn’t have the full trust of Arsene Wenger despite his finishing qualities. Football at the top-level requires more than a lethal left-foot and Podolski didn’t offer enough in possession, or when we were defending.
21 – Mathieu Flamini
The Frenchman optimised everything that was wrong with us in the first part of the season. Undisciplined, rash, error-prone and lacking in quality.
Since he left us when we needed him most in 2008, Arsenal fans are not quick to forgive Flamini for his shortcomings. Should be moved on this summer.
