Record signing Mesut Özil has been in excellent form since returning from injury, and was involved in both goals during our 2-1 win over Leicester City this past Tuesday.
Despite the win, the German playmaker lamented the fact that we weren’t able to kill the game off sooner.
He posted on Instagram following the win; celebrating three points, but admitting we did it the hard way.
Özil provided the assists for both Laurent Koscielny and Theo Walcott’s goals, and helped us race into a 2-0 lead.
We were expected not only to hold onto it, but to extend it in the second half. This wasn’t the case however, and increased pressure from Leicester saw the deficit halved.
