Arsenal stars Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil have sent their tributes to Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas after he ended his 25-year stay at the Bernabeu by joining FC Porto.
Our duo have both featured alongside Casillas, with Cazorla a current international teammate of the goalkeeper while Ozil shared a dressing room with the 34-year-old during his three-year stay at Real Madrid.
Casillas won every trophy possible to him during his time in Madrid and will undoubtedly go down as one of the best goalkeepers the game has ever produced.
Arsenal transfer news
The respect Cazorla has for his compatriot is obvious after he labelled him as the best ‘goalkeeper in the world’ at this present time.
Real Madrid are now expected to complete a deal for Manchester United’s David de Gea (via The Telegraph), who is set to replace Casillas at both club level and on the international scene.
