Arsene Wenger’s desire to sign Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema is certainly no secret, and reports suggest we have already failed with a £31m bid this summer (via the Mirror).
A new report (via the Mirror) claims we are set to launch another bid for the 27-year-old, with Wenger planning to further test the La Liga giant’s resolve with a £35m offer.
Benzema would unquestionably add something to our side, and could well prove to be the missing piece to the puzzle. He is a truly world class forward, and is the type of player who all but guarantees you goals.
We have the financial power to bring the biggest names to the Emirates now, so money shouldn’t be an issue. We just have to convince Real Madrid to sell, and convince the French forward that Arsenal is where he belongs.

Our fantastic pre-season has arguably shown that we have what it takes to challenge for the Premier League already in 2015/16, but we certainly shouldn’t give up on signing a world class forward like Benzema.
