If you believe everything you read in the media, then Karim Benzema has been on the verge of a move to Arsenal for weeks (via the Metro). Arsene Wenger has seemingly grown tired of Real Madrid playing keep away with his top target however, and has turned his attention to Edinson Cavani instead, according to the Metro.
As the report suggests, the Uruguayan appears to be open to the idea of a switch. He has had enough of playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at PSG, and is looking to secure a move away in order to become top dog at a new club.
We would presumably have to shell out a huge amount for his services, as the Parisians will at the very least be looking to recoup a large chunk of the £55m (via the BBC) they paid for Cavani when they signed him from Napoli.
We may also be facing competition for his signature from Manchester United, with the Metro reporting he is a top target of Louis van Gaal’s this summer.

Cavani may not be as popular a choice as Benzema, but the 28-year-old is certainly a top quality forward. The Metro claim his relationship with current PSG boss Laurent Blanc is in tatters, so now might be the perfect time to move for him.
