Arsenal will return with a second offer for Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann after their initial €14 million bid was turned down, according to reports in Le10Sport.
The 22 year old is one of Europe’s hottest properties at the moment and has already scored 14 goals in just 25 appearances this season.
Real Sociedad are believed to value Griezmann at €24 m, which is almost double Arsenal’s first offer. But that hasn’t put the Gunners off, as the report suggests Arsene Wenger will return with another bid later this month.
The Frenchman a few days back admitted that he would consider quitting Sociedad if he meant he could earn a regular run in the French national side. He said:
I am relaxed about my future at the moment.
I have not had talks other clubs yet. This is something to look at.
I want to play for a leading European team and I hope this can help me get a place in the France team.
The report further states that the youngster would be more open to a move at the end of the season as he reportedly wants to help Sociedad qualify for a European place this term and with an outside shot of making the French World Cup squad, he doesn’t want to risk a mid season move.

Griezmann has huge experience for a player so young. He has made over 170 top flight appearances and has become an important part of Sociedad’s team over the last five seasons. Even though the youngster is a first team regular in La Liga, he has only featured 10 times for the French U-21′s.
He is primarily viewed as a left sided player and can also play through the center or on the right. He likes to take on defenders and is as dangerous from a standing position as he is running onto the ball. He likes to cut inside, use his pace to expose slower central players and drag full-backs out of position.
With Walcott out for the rest of the season the Gunners are a little short on the wing and bringing a player like Griezmann, who can also play up front, will give us a big boost in our pursuit of the elusive silverware.
