Arsene Wenger is keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and is apparently planning a summer bid for the Turkish midfielder, as reported by the Express.
We have been linked in the past with a move for the free-kick specialist, and reports now suggest we are planning a player plus cash bid for him at the end of the season.
Lukas Podolski has struggled for playing time at the Emirates, and hasn’t fared any better out on loan with Serie A side Inter Milan.
He may relish a return to the Bundesliga, and Wenger is apparently keen to use him as a makeweight in a £20m deal for Çalhanoğlu according to the Express.

The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the German side, and has become renowned for his dead ball ability. We are well stocked in attacking midfielders, but the youngster could certainly bring something to the table that we are currently lacking.
The Express claims he has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, but with the La Liga giants in the midst of a transfer ban, we could steal a march and secure his signature this summer.
