Arsene Wenger has prepared the team and we are finally ready to start our Premier League campaign. We will play at home against West Ham United and the confidence around the camp couldn’t be more positive.
We’ve enjoyed a near-perfect preparation for this clash and after ending the Jose Mourinho hoodoo at Wembley last week, we are definitely ready to start our campaign.
Arsenal transfer news
With competition for places more intense than we’ve ever known it to be under Wenger in recent years, here is our predicted XI for tomorrow’s game…
GK) Petr Cech
After all the glorified friendlies and pre-season fixtures, Cech must be itching to get down to business and doing what he does best. Winning games and, ultimately, trophies.

RB) Hector Bellerin
Bellerin had a few hairy moments against Chelsea, but largely kept Eden Hazard quiet, which is something many defenders struggle to do.
CB) Per Mertesacker
Our vice-captain for the season and definitely the leader on the pitch, Mertesacker seems to have struck up a good understanding with Cech almost immediately.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
Along with Cech and Mertesacker, Koscielny will provide a vital axis in terms of the backbone of our team, with clean sheets the order of the day.
LB) Nacho Monreal
Arguably the most improved player in the Premier League, Monreal is our bonafide first choice left-back and Kieran Gibbs has a fight on his hands to reclaim the position.
