Arsenal have promoted four of the club’s most promising youngsters to the first-team including Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (via The Mirror).
Arsenal have a strong history of bringing through young players and that doesn’t look to be ending anytime soon.
In the last few years, a number of youngsters have been brought through into the first-team. Wojciech Szczesny, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Gibbs, Jack Wilshere and Alex Iwobi are just some of the current senior players to come from through the academy.
Now, Arsene Wenger has made the decision to introduce the next batch of youngsters by promoting Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, Cohen Bramall and Chris Willock.
The four players all impressed immensely during pre-season and are deserving of their places in the squad after some good performances.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles made a couple of appearances for the first-team last season but fans will be eagerly looking forward to the other three players, Reiss Nelson especially.
Nelson was the standout young player on tour and put in an excellent performance for Arsenal’s Under-23 side last Monday.
It’s good to see the club still having faith in youth. The Arsenal youth players who reach the first-team are the backbone of the squad and that should continue but we should still be wary. Many promising youth players have failed to make the grade and it’s no guarantee that these four won’t do the same.
