The Gunners are on a dodgy run. Two consecutive losses against Norwich then Schalke has thrown a real spanner in the works as Wenger tries to fight on all fronts to claim some silverware that has evaded the Gunners since 2005. The odds are in the North London sides favour – Rangers have lost 14 and won none of their last 17 Premier League away games, picking up just three points from the last 51 on offer a terrible record. A loss or a draw could prove highly detrimental to the Gunners title challenge.
Arsenal’s form is certainly not hot after the past two losses, their past five games looks like this LLWWL – two losses out of their last three EPL fixtures. But the Rangers too are in a spot of bother, similarly to Norwich last weekend they have failed to win a game this season. Their past five match results are DLLLL, however their draw came against an in-form Everton and they certainly looked like they had a chance of winning their first fixture.
The last time that QPR won away at Arsenal was 31st December 1994, and QPR have not won any of their last 12 top-flight London derbies away from home (D2 L10), including losing all four last season. So the Gunners can be sensibly backed with odds of 4/11 (1.36) to win on Saturday.
A draw seems unlikely but as Arsenal’s form has stuttered over the past week it can be backed at 4/1 (5.00).

Arsenal have won just one of their last six Premier League games at the Emirates (W1 D3 L2), a record hardly convincing with a battling QPR side has come to town, can they cause the biggest upset of the season? They are paying a massive 15/2 (8.50).
QPR have gone 20 Premier League games on the road without a clean sheet, and despite the fact that Lukas Podolski has dropped off the pace in recent fixtures he will be itching to get back on the scoresheet and is one of the favourites this weekend, the German’s paying 10/11 (1.90) to score anytime or 4/1 (5.00) to score first/last.
