Arsenal are reportedly willing to make a bid for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero should the Argentina international indicate he is ready to leave the Etihad Stadium.
Aguero’s future at the clear has become the subject of speculation after Pep Guardiola dropped him for the Champions League clash at Barcelona and the Premier League encounter against Everton.
Spanish news outlet Don Balon are reporting that Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and Chelsea, who will move for Aguero should he opt to leave the Sky Blues.
The 28-year-old has, however, attracted attention from all over the continent with Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG also believed to be keen on the striker.
Speculation over Aguero’s future has prompted Pep Guardiola to insist he is happy with Aguero and wants him to remain at the club.
“Sergio played really well the last game. I want to be clear that I am so happy with Sergio, and hopefully he can stay for a long, long time here,” he told a press conference.

“When I said it depends on Sergio [when he leaves] it doesn’t mean I don’t want him to stay. I want, from deep in my heart, that he can stay here and play with us because he’s a special player.”
While the possibility of Aguero playing for Arsenal is bound to excite fans, it seems unlikely the Argentina ace would be allowed to leave City. Guardiola has certainly sought to play down speculation surrounding his star striker who only extended his current deal in September and is contracted until 2020.
