Arsene Wenger is prepared to wait to discover whether the club’s £40m bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez allows the striker to leave Anfield this summer, rather than making an improved bid, according to the reports in Mirror.
Liverpool rejected Arsenal’s latest bid for the striker of £40million plus one pound, as they consider the clause only means that they have to inform Suarez of the interest shown in him. However the 26-year-old’s advisers believe that a bid of that size would trigger a release clause, and allow Suarez to speak to Arsenal about a move.
Suarez is keen on Arsenal and wants to speak to them about a potential transfer but it is believed he still harbours hopes that Real Madrid will come in despite their declaration that they are not interested.
Arsenal, who are well aware of the clause. are prepared to wait until the end of the window before trying to complete a deal for Suarez, and whether the relationship between the Uruguayan and Liverpool breaks down in that time could be key in determining his future.
The Mirror also claim that Suarez is still interested in moving to Real Madrid and is awaiting them to make an offer for his services although this seems somewhat unlikely given their relentless pursuit of Tottenham star Gareth Bale, who could break the world record transfer fee if sold this summer.
Suarez’s advisers have already sought legal advice and may take the matter to the Premier League for arbitration as they believe Arsenal have now activated the clause.

For now the club will see how everything plays out and therefore until the clause is sorted out one way or another there is little to no chance that they’ll increase their bid.
Arsenal have also faced similar situations before when Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasir wanted out and they were eventually sold because they found it difficult to keep an unhappy player.
It is now looking that the Suarez transfer saga isn’t gonna end any time soon. The clause seems to be a complicated one at the least because neither Liverpool nor the Player’s advisers seem to understand what the clause exactly means. Arsenal as expected won’t increase the bid but would rather wait for the player to resolve the clause issue with Liverpool.
It would be a huge risk for Arsenal to wait on Suarez because even though Real Madrid don’t seem interested in him now but they can come back to him anytime and with Suarez interested to go there and Liverpool looking to sell abroad it would be a perfect deal for both of them.
So Arsene Wenger should either look at other players or else move quickly and complete the Suarez deal or else risk loosing him. What do you say Gooners?
