Arsenal are reportedly close to signing 17-year-old Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho, much to the frustration of the Premier League side (via The Sun).
Despite a great start with the signings of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette, the transfer window has slowed down for Arsenal.
There have been strong rumours about a move for Thomas Lemar which have not yet been realised but it seems that the Gunners could be close to bringing in another player.
Jadon Sancho is a 17-year-old winger at the Manchester City academy who has attracted a lot of attention from rival clubs across Europe.
Sancho became a familiar name with some football fans this summer when he starred for England at the Under-17 World Cup this summer, winning the award for the tournament’s best player.

The player was raised in London and sources close to the Etihad have reportedly told The Sun that Sancho is an Arsenal fan.
“The club is worried Arsenal are front runners for Jadon as he has a soft spot for them,” the source said.
“His family think he might get a quicker path to first-team action at either Arsenal or Spurs.
“One of his heroes is ironically Alexis Sanchez. It’s proving difficult to get him to sign his first professional contract here.
“He is a top player, one of, if not the best in the youth system. It’s not about the money for him at all.”
Jadon Sancho seems to have attracted the interest of almost every major club in Europe. His performances at the Under-17 World Cup were excellent and his signing would surely be a major coup for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Let’s hope these reports are to be believed.
