Arsenal’s 18-year-old right back Hector Bellerin has officially signed a new long term contract with the Gunners.
The Spaniard has become one of the club’s most promising youth prospects since his arrival from Barcelona in 2011, earning a call up to the first team squad for the Capital One Cup fixtures against Reading and Coventry City, however he is yet to make his senior debut.
The talented youngster began life in north London as a midfielder however he has developed into an all action, maurading right back becoming a regular feature in Arsenal’s NextGen starlet studded side. His excellent performances have earned him a call-up to Spain’s U19 team for their 2013 European Under-19 Football Championship in Lithuania, he is one of just two foreign-based players.
The Arsenal youth star has featured 52 times, scoring five goals so far in his relatively new Gunners career and looks set to be a promising player who can battle Carl Jenkinson for the right sided fullback position in the future.
