It has been claimed by The Mirror that Little Russian Andrey Arshavin will be allowed to leave the Emirates this coming January presumably due to his prolonged woeful form this year.
It is reported that the main two parties interested in his signature are his former club Zenit and Lokomotiv Moscow who have reportedly already had a six-month loan move knocked back.
Although Arsenal are keen to sell the Russian, they are reluctant to let him go if they are not able to find a suitable replacement due to the departures of Gervinho and Chamakh for the African Cup of Nations.
But with the gunners claimed to be targetting both German wonder-kid Mario Gotze and experienced Koln striker Lukas Podolski it is claimed if either of them are signed it will be curtains for Arshavin.
As well as these two, Arsene has also not ruled out a loan move for Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who could be signed in a similar fashion to Landon Donnovan who has already repeated a short-term loan move to Everton.

The little Russian has 18 months left on his contract and obviously the club will take a hit in terms of price due to his current form and his current age, but I feel we need to cut our losses as I don’t really see him improving any time soon.
His form has been pretty dismal for quite a while now and personally I am baffled at why Oxlade-Chamberlain wasn’t at least named in the squad after terrorising Zabelleta against City a couple of weeks earlier. He would have been a much more potent substitution on Sunday, lets be honest.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Should we keep the little Russian or is it time he left? Feel free to leave a comment below.
